Regulations applicable in Bavaria to contain the covid-19 pandemic have been tightened for the period 24 November to 09 February 2022. School trips, family and group accommodation is available subject to the prevailing covid-19 restrictions.
The so-called “2G-rules” (vaccinated, convalescent) are applicable throughout Bavaria. The following regulations must be observed:
|School and group trips||Families and single persons|
|Access allowed only for vaccinated and convalescent persons.||Only persons with documented vaccinations or are documented as “recovered” are granted access to our hostels.|
|Children and teenagers up to age 17 are granted unrestricted access to our youth hostels if they have been tested regularly. In such cases they are not required to have been vaccinated.||Persons up to 17 years are exempted from this regulation. They have unrestricted access to our youth hostels if they have been tested regularly. In such cases they are not required to have been vaccinated.|
|Absolutely essential business-related stays at our hostel or those for training courses are possible under so-called “3G” (vaccinated, convalescent, tested) rules.|
|FFPT2 face covering is mandatory at all times inside our hostels (except when seated during mealtimes). Children up to 6 are exempted from this requirement. Also exempted are those persons that can provide documented proof that they cannot wear a face mask for medical reasons. Children and young persons between 6 and 17 are required to wear a medical face mask.|
Please inform yourself before arrival about the current covid-19 rules applicable to your destination.
Also note that the Bavarian state government has determined that for urban and rural districts with a 7-day incidence of over 1,000 , a “hotspot lockdown” is applicable with immediate effect. In such cases, the hotel and gastronomy industry (including youth hostels) must suspend trading. Please refer to the current list of hostels with suspended trading..
We have developed a hygiene management system for the entire Bavarian regional association based on our SMILE hygiene standards (Service with Innovation and Passion). The quality management system has also been aligned with that of the German Youth Hostel Federation (DJH Hauptverband). It follows the standards set by the German federal and state government, HACCP, the Robert Koch Institute, the German Red Cross the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), the German Hotel and Catering Industry Federation DEHOGA, the recommendations of the Berlin university Hospital Charité and other recognised organisations and institutions. In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, our hygiene management system has now been realigned to meet the standards of the Bavarian Regulations and Measures for Infection Protection.
The youth hostels in Bavaria have developed a comprehensive hygiene and safety plan to ensure that your stay with us is safe.
